Getting here
How do I get there?
The Science Museum is located in downtown St. Paul at 120 W. Kellogg Blvd. Visit our Parking & Directions page for specific directions.
The Science Museum is just a few blocks from the Green Line and is near several bus routes. Use Metro Transit Trip Planner to find the best route for you.
Where do I park?
Convenient parking is available at the Science Museum’s enclosed parking ramp — 224 N. Chestnut St., St. Paul, MN 55102. Metered and street parking is available in nearby neighborhoods.
How long does a visit take?
Short answer: Plan two hours to explore the museum, plus an additional hour for an Omnitheater movie.
Long answer: There is no standard length of time for a visit to the Science Museum. You can spend an hour to a day — it depends on how you experience the museum. If you plan to eat (or drink!) in the museum, don’t forget to allow time for that as well.
Can I leave and re-enter the museum on the same day?
Yes, just make sure you keep your ticket barcode with you.
Exhibits
What are the exhibits like?
All of the exhibits are designed with intergenerational learning in mind, so you will find content designed for all ages. Many of the exhibits are hands-on, so prepare to become engaged in learning. Learn more about our exhibits.
Can I take photographs?

During your visit
Is there a room for breastfeeding?
You are welcome to nurse throughout the museum. If you would like a private area, the family restrooms or our Wellness Room on Level 4 behind the We Move and We Stay exhibit are equipped with a chair for nursing.
Where can we store our stuff?
Lockers are located in our lobby and vary in cost from $2 to $3. Lockers are electronic and accept a code for access. Locker kiosks only accept credit cards.
Can we bring a stroller?
Yes. Our exhibits are stroller and wheelchair accessible.
Are strollers or wheelchairs available?
Wheelchairs are available at no cost upon request from the Visitor Desk.
Are there private/gender-neutral/family restrooms?
All-gender and family restrooms are located on Level 4 behind the We Move and We Stay exhibit. These restrooms can be used for those who need a private or gender-neutral restroom. An adult changing facility is also available. Please speak to staff for assistance.
Is there a quiet/prayer/meditation space?
If you need a quiet space, please ask a staff member, and they will be able to direct you to our private Wellness Room on Level 4.
Are there changing stations for children or adults?
Restrooms with changing stations for infants and children are located on each level of the museum near the exhibit elevators and in the family restrooms on Level 4. An adult changing station is also available in our Wellness Room on Level 4.
Are exhibits bilingual?
Many exhibits are presented in English and Spanish.

Where do we buy tickets?
You can buy tickets for the exhibits and the Omnitheater online, or by phone by calling (651) 221-9444. If you are interested in seeing a movie in the Omnitheater, advanced reservations are recommended.

Can my tickets count toward a membership?
Yes! You can apply the value of your museum admission tickets toward any membership. Stop by the Visit Desk in the museum lobby or call us at (651) 221-9444 to learn more about ticket trade-in options.

Does the museum serve food?
A busy day of discovery requires the right fuel — check out our food and beverage options.
Does the museum serve drinks?
Enjoy alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverage options from our Level 5 Cafe.
Can I bring my own food in?
Yes! Comfortable dining is part of the museum experience! You'll find tables, chairs, and water fountains throughout the galleries and in our outdoor spaces to sit and sip.
