The Science Museum of Minnesota’s RACE: Are We So Different? exhibit explores the biology, history, and everyday lived experience of race and racism in the United States. It premiered in St. Paul and went on a national tour of museums and science centers around the country, where it reached nearly 4 million people with its important message about what race is - and what it isn’t. It’s back now, and it has been refreshed to feature components specific to Minnesota and reflections on how national conversations about race have shifted.
I spent time in the powerful exhibit and shared my perspective [insert link]. I’m excited to be able to talk about what struck me about the experience and why this exhibit matters for all of us.
I invite you to explore the RACE exhibit through the perspectives of community members in the Science Museum’s RACE Reflections online gallery.
With commitment,
