Showing Oct. 19, 2023-Feb. 29, 2024
45 minutes
For decades, Jane Goodall revolutionized how we view the world around us. Now, join her on an adventure of inspiration and hope as she spotlights uplifting stories around the world.
Featured stories follow endangered species across the globe and the groups of people who are empowered to save them. To stop an extinction, Dr. Johannes Fritz uses his ultralight aircraft to teach northern bald ibises a new migratory path over the alps. Indigenous activists Ervin Carlson and Christina Mormorunni return free-roaming bison back to their native habitat of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation’s rolling foothills. Dr. John Gunn and Tina McCaffrey introduce regreening — the reversal of the landscape decimated by acid rain into natural forest lands and renewed lakes — into a small city in northern Ontario. Throughout the film, these individuals lead actions powerful enough to save species on the brink of disappearing.
Jane Goodall - Reasons for Hope reinforces Jane's four pillars that signal tremendous hope for the future: the amazing human intellect, the resilience of nature, the power and dedication of young people, and the indomitable human spirit. Together, these tenets signal how we all have the ability and resolve to make a difference in the world around us.
