Computational Thinking Educator Webinars

Adult Educators

These workshops are designed for teachers of students in grades 3-6, but all interested educators are welcome!

Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, this program is available at no cost to you through June.

Intro to Computational Thinking

Science Museum educators have been working with elementary teachers to integrate Computational Thinking into their curricula, taking a holistic approach that goes beyond just learning to code. We invite you to hear more about this important topic and learn strategies to incorporate it into what you teach. You might even discover that you’ve already been teaching these topics without realizing it!

Intro to Scratch

One of our favorite ways to introduce students to Computational Thinking is by using the free programming tool Scratch. Join us in a virtual “hands-on” workshop to try out this incredible online tool. You’ll experience two different ways to introduce Scratch to your students: one general approach and one that is integrated with elementary geometry.  You don’t need to have any experience with Scratch to attend these workshops - just be ready to learn more!
