Carnotaurus
Meet Carnotaurus
The name Carnotaurus roughly means “carnivorous bull,” in reference to the prominent horns over its eyes.
The arms of Carnotaurus were incredibly short, even shorter compared to its body than in Tyrannosaurus.
The skull of Carnotaurus was pretty flexible, making it a bit like a snake, able to flex around its prey and swallow animals whole.
Paleontologists found fossil skin impressions alongside Carnotaurus bones, showing that it had a complex pattern of scales over its body.
Carnotaurus was rather speedy. How speedy? It was likely able to run up to 35 miles per hour!
