MASK

Balinese monkey mask represnting Hanuman the Hindu Monkey God. This type of mask is used during the Kecak traditional Balinese dance. The mask is made of carved wood and painted white with red, orange, black and grey used for details. It has a hinged mouth which opens and closes. Hide and hair/fur have been nailed to the eyebrows and at each end of the upper lip. A strap of string and rubber is attached for wearing, and a strand of metal wire has been attached for hanging the mask.
