COMB
Aguaruna comb, teeth are natural wood and are held together with two sets of four sticks running horizontally at top of comb. Sticks are tied together and tied to the teeth with a mauve-colored cotton. This cotton is woven between the teeth of the comb to create a triangular pattern. There is a longer piece of braided white cotton tied to the comb - it is possible that this was part of a toucan tassle. Cotton is hand-spun, wood is palm. Combs often stuck in hair for decoration.
