cloth

A partially-woven textile attached to a backstrap loom. The cloth is warp-dominant, plain-weave cotton decorated with lifted surface-float/ back-float brocade. The brocade is predominantly red, with details woven in black, purple, bright pink, yellow, magenta, and green yarn. All of the colors in this piece were achieved through synthetic dyes. The piece is brocaded with the blue thread, flowery flag, posts, and sleeve weave designs.
