Henderson Space and Science Center

Civic leaders in Henderson, Nevada, outside of Las Vegas, have been working toward creation of the Henderson Space and Science Center (HSSC) for many years. The region is primed for this; despite its large population, Southern Nevada does not have a science center. The Science Museum of Minnesota worked with architects, City of Henderson officials and HSSC staff to create an exhibit master plan for the HSSC. This new facility is planned to include over 40,000 square feet of exhibitions and include a full array of program spaces and visitor amenities. The Science Museum expects to partner with HSSC at every stage of the project to develop, design, and produce exhibits that will support science education in elementary and secondary schools in the region, and provide families with a world-class facility that reflects the unique strengths and stories of Southern Nevada.
